History

Established in 1978.
Hudson Bay Cafe has been a family owned business since it began in 1978. Our cafe was the FIRST to have an espresso machine on college avenue. We were the first cafe to roast our own beans on College Aenue. We were the first cafe on College Avenue to offer wi-fi. in short, we have been serving our community with the best of everything first. It has been a great experience for us and we will continue to better our offerings and to add to our offerings. Thank you for your support over the past 32 years.

Tanya and I have owned Hudson Bay Cafe since 2004. We have been blessed with three wonderful children. Oakland has been my home for the past 34 years. Tanya has been the managing partner of Hudson Bay Cafe and under her care, Hudson Bay Cafe has been a great success. We hope to see you here soon.

  No frills, quality coffee and food. Affordable, and the best part is the highly personable staff. They make an effort to get to know their customers on a first name basis. I look forward to going there every morning before work.

  We love this place. They have great gluten-free breakfast choices with a dedicated toaster. Delicious espresso drinks, great service and great ambiance. By far, my family's favorite cafe.

  A great pre-trendy local coffed shop. The outdoor seating is awesome and they have a surprisingly good array of food options, even beer and wine!
